Eat Just, Finless Foods, Impossible and Next Gen Foods were among several alternative protein representatives who gathered in Washington, DC to advocate for increased government funding and revised regulation of alternative proteins.
The event titled ‘Future of Food’, was invite-only and enabled industry leaders to meet with policymakers, regulators, and media to discuss America’s leadership in fostering a more sustainable food system. Industry leaders recommended the US government focus on investments in research, development, and consumer education around alt proteins, creating an innovative and competitive market and regulatory ecosystem and the creation of jobs throughout the supply chain.
