The Bezos Earth Fund announced an initial $60 million commitment to establish ‘Bezos Centers for Sustainable Protein’ as part of the Bezos Earth Fund’s $1 billion commitment to transform food and agriculture systems to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
The university research centers for sustainable proteins will focus on advancing science and technology to bring down manufacturing costs, improve quality and enhance the nutritional profile of plant-based, fermentation-derived, and cultivated meat products.
