GFI unveils 3rd restaurant scorecard: ‘Plant-based is definitely becoming bigger than burgers’

While 42 out of the top 100 US restaurant chains still don’t offer a plant-based entrée, new data from NPD Group commissioned by the Good Food Institute (GFI) shows US shipments of plant-based meat from major broadline foodservice distributors to restaurant chains and non-commercial foodservice operators surged 37% in 2019.
